Born on October 5, 1976, in La Plata, Argentina, Mauro Colagreco is the chef and owner of Mirazur, a three-Michelin-starred restaurant located in Menton, France.
Mirazur has garnered widespread acclaim and is consistently ranked among the world’s best restaurants. It secured the top spot in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list in 2019.
After completing his culinary education, Colagreco headed to France, where he worked with renowned chefs:
Bernard Loiseau until Loiseau’s untimely death in 2003.
Alain Passard at l’Arpège in Paris.
Alain Ducasse at Hotel Plaza Athénée.
A year at the iconic Le Grand Véfour.
In 2006, Colagreco established Mirazur in Menton, and within six months, he received the “Revelation of the Year” award from Gault&Millau. Less than a year later, he earned his first Michelin star.
Chef of the Year and Global Recognition:
Colagreco’s culinary style defies easy categorization. It doesn’t strictly adhere to his Italian-Argentine heritage or the influences of the experienced French chefs he worked with.

His third Michelin star was awarded in January 2019, solidifying his status as a culinary luminary.
Global Expansion:
Beyond Mirazur, Colagreco has expanded his culinary empire:
AZUR in Beijing, China.
